You can perform a test failover operation to validate failover operations for a replication group.
For VMware destinations, a test failover operation live-mounts replicated VMs that are part of a failover group on the DR site. For Amazon and Azure destinations, a test failover operation clones replicated VMs that are part of a failover group on the DR site.
Test failover is supported only for Amazon, Azure, and VMware destinations.
Procedure
From the navigation pane, go to Disaster Recovery.
The Replication groups page appears.
Under Group name, click a replication group.
The replication group details page appears.
On the Overview tab, in the upper-right area of the page, click the action button
, and then click Test failover.A message appears that asks you to verify that you want to perform the test failover.
Click Yes.
