Using Managed Identity Authentication for a Microsoft Azure Hypervisor

To add a Microsoft Azure Hypervisor using managed identity authentication set up managed identity authentication, and then add the hypervisor.

Using managed identity authentication is a more secure method of deployment. Using this method ensures that your Azure subscription is accessed only from authorized virtual machines that use managed identity authentication. In addition, the process of adding an Azure hypervisor is simplified because you need only the Subscription ID, not the Tenant ID, Application ID, or Application Password information.

Procedure

  1. Set up managed identity authentication.

  2. Add the hypervisor.
