The downloadable documentation package includes all of the Essential documentation pages that are available on our documentation website.
Before You Begin
The offline documentation package only supports running on Windows.
Make sure that your computer has at least 600 MB of free disk space.
By default, port 21000 is used by the offline documentation services. If these ports are already used by other services on your computer, install the documentation package from the command line. See Installing the Documentation Package on Custom Port Configurations.
Procedure
Download the documentation package to your local drive:
Documentation Files (zip file)
Go to the location where you saved the documentation package, and then extract the contents to a folder on your computer.
To install the offline documentation using the default port 21000, open the offline package folder, right-click install.bat and then click Run as administrator.
If you need to run the offline documentation services on a different port, see Installing the Documentation Package on Custom Port Configurations.
If prompted, click Yes to allow the script to install the offline documentation services.
After the services are installed, your default browser opens to the offline documentation site, http://localhost:21000/essential/index.html.
Note: It could take some time for the website to appear in your browser. If the website does not load after a minute, try to reload the browser. If that does not work, check if the Commvault Offline Search service is running.
