Recover the entire file system data to the same or different client in the event of a disaster.
Before You Begin
Use the Disaster Recovery option only when the current log file is irretrievably lost. Do not modify or delete the contents of the transaction log directory unless you are sure that disaster recovery is necessary.
From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers | <Client> | Notes Database.
Right-click the <Instance>, point to All Tasks, and then click Browse and Restore.
Click View Content.
In the right pane of the Browse window, click the <Instance> and select all databases.
Note: Do not select log.nsf database if Domino version is 9.
Click Recover All Selected.
Select Unconditional Overwrite. Click Advanced.
Select the Disaster recover/Media recovery (to another machine) box and click OK.
You can monitor the progress of the restore job in the Job Controller.
Once the restore job has completed, right-click the agent or <instance>, point to View and click Restore History. Click OK.

Resubmit the restore job
After restoring the Notes Database, when you start the IBM Domino, the Domino recovery manager would complete the scanning of Notes database in a quick succession. You would also notice that there are not many changes in the database DBIID.

Verify that the restored database and log files are available in the original location.
After starting the IBM Domino, you can perform a point-in-time database restore operation.
