Enabling Alerts for the CommCell Group Dashboard on the Cloud Services Portal


You can turn on some storage forecasting alerts and the CommCell down alert based on data that are displayed in the CommCell group dashboard on the Cloud Services Portal.

Before You Begin

To enable the CommCell down alert, you must first enable the Cloud Assist feature.


  1. Log on to the Cloud Services Portal.

  2. Click CommCell Dashboard.

    If your environment includes multiple CommServe computers, the Worldwide Dashboard appears.

    If your environment includes only one CommServe computer, the CommCell Dashboard appears.

  3. From the navigation pane, click CommCell groups, and then under Name, click the company.

    The CommCell groups dashboard appears.

  4. Click Alert Me , and then set any of the following alerts to on:

    • When CommCell is down

      For this alert, an email is sent to the CommCell administrator after the CommCell environment has been down for at least one hour. Alerts are sent every 30 minutes starting at 12:00 a.m.

    • When Disk Library runs out of space

    • When DDB Disk runs out of space

    • When Index Cache runs out of space

      When any of the alert conditions occur, an email is sent to the CommCell administrator.
