Before clients associated with companies can be locked by the client owners, privacy must be enabled at the company level. For example, when privacy is enabled at the company level, laptop clients for that company can be locked by the owners so that the tenant administrator cannot access the laptop data.
If privacy is disabled at the company level, locked clients remain locked but no new clients can be locked.
Note:
When you use the SAML protocol for authentication, we recommend that you enable passkey authorization to control backup restores. For more information, see Configure a Passkey for Backup Data Restores and Configure a Passkey for Backup Data Restores (Tenant Administrator).
Only the client owner can enable the privacy for client at the company level. The MSP or tenant administrator cannot enable or disable the privacy for the client.
