Add an HDFS Subclient for Hadoop

You can create an HDFS subclient for data that has different backup requirements. When you complete the big data guided setup, a default subclient is created for Hbase. You cannot create additional subclients for Hbase.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Big Data.

    The Apps page appears.

  2. Click the cluster to add an HDFS subclient to.

    The cluster page appears.

  3. Under Hadoop Apps, click HDFS.

    The app page appears.

  4. Under Subclients, on the right of the page, click Add subclient.

    The Add subclient page appears.

  5. In the Name box, type a name for the subclient.

  6. From the Access nodes list, select the access nodes to use for the subclient.

  7. From the Plan list, select the server plan to use for the cluster.

  8. Select the content to include in the subclient.

  9. Click Save.
