When adding or editing an Oracle directory domain controller, you must enter the following information:

NETBIOS name: The name of the domain controller that offers the Oracle directory service.

Domain name: The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server. If you use a port other than the default port 389 to connect to the server, then configure the domain name in the format of <FQDN>:<port>. For example, my.domain.example.com:456/ You can obtain the domain name information for a server in the Server column on the Directory Servers page in the Oracle Directory Manager tool.

Username and Password: The Distinguished Name (DN) and password of the Directory Service Manager. You can find the information in the Directory Service Managers page in the Directory Service Control Center (DSCC). For example, DN of an admin user is cn=admin,cn=Administrators,cn=dscc.
