Perform a Test Backup and Restore of HBase Namespaces and Tables

To verify that the HBase app is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore of HBase namespaces and tables.

Back Up the Cluster

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Big data.

   The Big data page appears.

2. In the row for the cluster that contains the subclient that you want to back up, click the action button , and then click Back up.

   The Backup dialog box appears.

3. Click the subclient, and then click Select.

   The Select backup level dialog box appears.

4. Click OK.

Restore the Cluster

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Big data.

   The Big data page appears.

2. In the row for the cluster, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Backup content page appears.

3. Select the check box for the backup.

4. Click Restore.

   The Restore dialog box appears.

5. On the In place tab, click Submit.

   A confirmation message appears.

6. Click Yes.
