In an Oracle Clusterware or Oracle Data Guard configuration, you may need to have nodes on the Oracle RAC pseudoclient have the same instance names.
By default, in Commvault V10, this additional setting is set to "N", so you must change the setting if you want to allow nodes on the Oracle RAC pseudoclient to have the same instance names. By default, in Commvault V11, this additional setting is set to "Y", which allows nodes on the Oracle RAC pseudoclient to have the same instance names.
Procedure

To the CommServe computer, add the sRACUSESCANCONNECT additional setting as shown in the following table, to allow nodes on the Oracle RAC pseudoclient to have the same instance names.
