Configuring GxTail File Associations

You can set file types (based on file extension) that will open in GxTail when double-clicked in Windows Explorer.

Before You Begin

Launch GxTail. It is not necessary to have a log file open.

Procedure

1. Click View > Customize > File Association.

2. To add a new association, perform the following steps:

   1. In the Extension list, type a file extension or click the down arrow and select an extension from the list.

   2. Click Add.

   3. Repeat these steps to add more associations.

3. To remove an existing association, perform the following steps:

   1. From the list of defined associations, click the association you want to remove.

   2. Click Remove.

   3. Repeat these steps to remove more associations.

4. Click OK.
