Use this dialog box to configure alternate data paths and specify the conditions for using an alternate data path for the copy.
Data Path Configuration

Associated Subclients
Displays number of subclients associated to the data path.

Block Size
Displays the block size used by data path to read or write to all media types.

Chunk Size
Displays the chunk size used by data path.

Data Path ID
Displays the data path id.

Data Path Type
Indicates whether the data path is configured for Silo storage or Regular Storage.

Device Type
Displays type of the library. For example, disk or cloud or tape.

Drive Pool
The name of the drive pool configured to access the library.

Enabled
Indicates whether the data path is enabled or not.

Hardware Compression
Displays whether hardware compression is enabled.
If Hardware Compression:

Is enabled, the value is displayed as 1.
-
Is disabled, the value is displayed as 0.
Note that hardware compression is applicable only for tape libraries. For disk library data paths, the value is displayed as -1.

Hardware Encryption
Displays whether hardware encryption is enabled.
If Hardware Encryption:
-
Is enabled with Via Media Password option, the value is displayed as 1.

Is enabled with No Access option, the value is displayed as 2.

Is disabled, the value is displayed as 0.
Note that hardware encryption is applicable only for tape libraries. For disk library data paths, the value is displayed as -1.

Index Cache
Displays the name of the index cache used by the data path.

Library
The name of the library attached to the MediaAgent.

MediaAgent Name
The name of the MediaAgent.

Replication
Indicates whether the data path is configured for Replication.

Scratch Pool
The name of the scratch pool associated with the data path.

SILO
Indicates whether the data path is configured for Silo storage.

Status
Whether the data path is set as the preferred data path or not. The icon includes a tick mark, when it is set as the preferred data path.
Add
Click this button to open the Copy Data Path Candidates dialog box, which allows you to select the data path candidates from a list of MediaAgents. The list of MediaAgents depends on the other options selected in this dialog box, and are described in the following sections.
Delete
Click this button to delete the selected data path candidate. Note that you cannot delete the preferred data path.
Set Default
Click this button to set the selected data path candidate as the default data path.
Properties
Select a data path and then click this button to view the properties of the data path.
