You may decide to delete a storage pool with global deduplication enabled in the following scenarios:

The data that was backed up through that storage policy is no longer required.

Data no longer exists on the storage policy and you have no plans to use it for future backup operations.
Caution
When you delete a storage pool with global deduplication, the associated data is logically deleted and you can not access the data from CommCell Console for recovery. For information about how to recover data when you accidentally delete a storage policy, see the troubleshooting article Recovering Data Associated with Deleted Clients and Storage Policies.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Storage Resources > Storage Pools.

Right-click the appropriate storage pool with global deduplication enabled, click Properties, and then click Storage Pool.
The Storage Pool Properties dialog box appears.

Click the Dependent Copies tab.
All the storage policies dependent on the global deduplication policy are displayed.

Right-click the dependent storage policy and click View Jobs.
The Job Filter for Storage Policy dialog box appears.

Select the appropriate criteria, and click OK to view all the jobs associated with the storage policy.
Ensure that there are no jobs available on the dependent storage policy.

Delete the dependent storage policies. For more information, see Advanced - Deleting a Storage Policy.
Note
Delete all the dependent storage policies.

From the CommCell Browser, expand Storage Resources > Storage Pools.

Right-click the appropriate storage pool with global deduplication enabled, then click Delete.
A confirm deletion dialog box appears.

Click Yes.
