Enabling Message Replies for Exchange Web Services Backup

To give end users the ability to reply, reply to all, and forward messages in the Web Console for Exchange messages that use EWS (Exchange Web Services) backup, add the Enable Email Web App additional setting to the CommServe computer.

Supported Environments

• Exchange hybrid

• Exchange on-premises (Exchange 2010 and later)

• Exchange Online

Prerequisites

• If you have an on-premises Exchange server, verify that the Webserver and Exchange server are in the same domain to ensure that the message reply operation and the email address look-up operation both work.

• Use Exchange Web Services (EWS) to archive Exchange messages:

  • Using Exchange Web Services in a Hybrid Environment

  • Using Exchange Web Services in an On-Premises Environment

  • Using Exchange Web Services in an Exchange Online Environment

• Set up end user access to the messages in the Web Console:

  • Setting up End User Access in an Exchange Hybrid Environment

  • Setting up End User Access in an Exchange On-Premises Environment

  • Setting up End User Access in an Exchange Online Environment

Procedure

Add the Enable Email Web App additional settings to the CommServe computer and set it to true.
