Restore and bring up each dropped database from its database backup image in the event of a disaster.
Before You Begin
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers > Client > instance.

Right-click the Backup Set, point to All Tasks and then click Browse and Restore.

Click View Content on the Browse and Restore Options dialog.

In the right pane of the Browse window, select the databases you want to restore and click Recover All Selected.

On the DB2 Restore Options dialog box:

On the General tab, check the Restore Data check box and select the Entire Database option.

Navigate to the Recover tab and check the Restore Data check box .

Click OK on the Warning dialog.

Click OK.
Monitor the progress of the restore job in the Job Controller.

After the restore job has completed, right-click the Backup Set, point to View, and then click Restore History

Click OK.

You can right-click the job and view the following details:

View Restore Items
You can view them as Successful, Failed, Skipped or All.

View Job Details
-
View Events of the restore job
-
View Log files of the restore job

View number of objects

What to Do Next
After the database is restored, verify that the restored database and log files are available in the original location.
