Looking Up Errors in GxTail

You can look up detailed descriptions of Commvault error messages, as well as those generated by many operating systems (such as Windows, Linux, AIX and Solaris).

Before You Begin

Have the error code available, preferably in the paste buffer, and know the type of software that generated it.

Procedure

1. Click Tools > Error Lookup.

2. In the OS Type list, select the source of the error code (such as Windows or UNIX).

   Note

   Select Galaxy for Commvault error codes.

3. In the Error Code box, enter the code to look up.

4. If the code is in hexadecimal format, select Hex.

5. Click Look Up.
