You can back up and restore your MEDITECH file server VMs that are hosted on a Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) cluster using Commvault through the Command Center.
The Commvault software uses the MEDITECH quiesce and unquiesce commands, together with the Nutanix AHV snapshot APIs, to create application-consistent virtual machine snapshots that can be stored for long-term retention. You do not need to install the Commvault software on the MEDITECH system, because all backup and restore operations are initiated from the Commvault software. The solution integrates with the MEDITECH Backup Facilitator (MBF) to send commands to the MEDITECH Backup Intermediary (MBI) that quiesces all relevant databases.
