On Demand backups allow content to be specified as an external input at the time of initiating a backup. Traditional backups are performed using subclients, which contain fixed content configured prior to performing the operation, On Demand backups allow you to specify content each time you perform a backup.
Important
We recommend that you do not perform IntelliSnap backups using on-demand backup sets.
