The CommCell Console can be opened in multiple ways:

A stand-alone application installed directly onto a CommServe, MediaAgent, client, or any other computer that can communicate with the CommServe. For comprehensive information on supported platforms, see System Requirements - CommCell Console as a Stand-Alone Application.

A JAR (Java Archive) file that can access the CommCell Console remotely via any computer where the JAR file exists.
Caution
You must not use a lower feature release version of a CommCell Console GUI with a higher feature release version of a CommServe as this can cause fatal errors including data loss.
