By default, when you perform a restore operation, the data is restored to its original location on the same cluster.
You can choose to restore data to its original location, or you can choose to perform different types of restores. To determine which combination of dialog box options meets your needs, see Restore Options.
Before You Begin
If you have hard link groups in your restore content, then the hard link group might not be preserved and the links could be restored as individual files. This happens when the links are restored by different streams.
