If your MediaAgent computer is old or deprecated, you can move the MediaAgent to a new hardware. For more information, see MediaAgent Hardware Refresh.
You can also put the old MediaAgent into maintenance mode so that it does not run backup, restore, or auxiliary copy operations. For more information, see Putting a MediaAgent into Maintenance Mode.
