You can add Oracle RAC nodes to the Oracle RAC database.
Before You Begin
Review the Oracle user account information. For more information, see Oracle User Accounts.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database overview page appears.

To create an instance, in the upper-right area of the window, click Add instance > Database server.
The database type selection page appears.

Select Oracle RAC, and then click NEXT.
The Add Oracle RAC instance page appears.

To create a RAC cluster, move the Create a RAC cluster toggle to the right.

To specify the RAC cluster name, type or select the RAC Cluster name.

In the Database name box, type the database name.

From the Plan list, select a plan.

To use catalog connect, move the Catalog connect toggle key to the right, and then from the Credential list, select a saved credential.

On the right side of the window, click Add RAC instance.
The Add RAC instance dialog box appears.

From the Client name list, select the server where the Oracle RAC database resides.

In the Oracle SID box, enter the database name.

In the Oracle home box, enter the path where the Oracle application resides.

To use a credential for the Authentication method, select Credential and then select the saved credential. Otherwise, select OS authentication.

To specify the operating system user name, expand Other settings, and then in the OS user name box type the name.

By default, the TNS_Admin directory is created in the Oracle HOME\network\admin path. To modify the path, in the TNS_ADMIN folder box, enter the full path to the location of the tnsnames.ora file.

Click Save.

Click Add.
