Adding a Schedule in File Storage Optimization

You can add a schedule to a server or server group so that data collection jobs for the server data sources run according to the schedule.

After a data source is added to a server, the data collection job for the server data source starts immediately. After the first data collection job, the data collection job runs according to the schedule.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Data Insights.

    The Data Insights page appears.

  2. Under Risk Analysis, click File storage optimization.

    The File storage optimization page appears.

  3. Add a schedule to a server or a server group:

    • On the Server tab, in the server row, click the action button action_button, and then click Configuration.

      The server properties page appears.

    • On the Server group tab, in the server group row, click the action button action_button, and then click Configuration.

      The server group properties page appears.

  4. In the Configuration tile, click Add next to Schedule.

    The Add schedule dialog box appears.

  5. Adjust the schedule.

    For example, schedule the data collection job to run every Sunday.

  6. Click Save.
