Backing Up HPE Morpheus VM Essentials VMs On Demand

You can perform on-demand backups for an individual VM or a VM group. Scheduled backups are handled by the backup plans that are assigned to your VM groups.

Back Up a VM

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

2. On the Virtual machines tab, in the row for the VM, click the action button , and then click Back up.

3. For Backup type, select the type of backup to perform.

4. For Retention, you can specify a custom retention period for the backup.

   By default, the retention period is inherited from the backup plan. The Retention setting is not available for VM groups.

5. Click Submit.

Back Up All VMs in a VM Group

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

2. On the VM groups tab, in the row for the VM group, click the action button , and then click Back up.

3. For Backup type, select the type of backup to perform.

4. Click Submit.
