Commvault Console

The Commvault Console allows you to manage all your SaaS and on-premises environments from a single, unified view. This gives you one place to oversee your data protection and security - simplifying visibility and control across environments.

Features of the Commvault Console include the following:

  • The control plane — centralized visibility, registration, policy, and operations across all environments.

  • Multi-model — works across software Commvault Console, Commvault-hosted SaaS, and unified hybrid deployments.

  • Dedicated per customer — each customer gets their own isolated instance at a unique URL.

  • Built for regulated environments — supports fully self-contained, sovereign deployments.

Supported Models

The Commvault Console supports three separate models, described below.

Software-Based (On-Premises Model)

Commvault Console is deployed on a primary CommCell and provides centralized management for multiple Service CommCells within the environment. This deployment model operates entirely on premises, with no dependency on cloud services or SaaS infrastructure.

For more information, see On-Premises Model.

Commvault-Hosted SaaS Console

A control plane hosted and managed by Commvault, eliminating the need for customers to deploy or maintain infrastructure. Provides centralized visibility and management across SaaS regional tenants while ensuring that protected data remains within its designated region.

Unified Hybrid Model

A single Commvault Console that seamlessly spans SaaS, on-premises CommCells, and public cloud environments. Unified identity management, centralized policy enforcement, and a consistent operational experience provide complete visibility and control across the entire data protection ecosystem.
