Commvault supports long-term support and innovation releases of the Commvault software.
Important
In alignment with NIST SP 800-40 Rev. 4 guidance for timely patch and vulnerability management, Commvault recommends upgrading to the latest maintenance release within 2 weeks of its release.
This recommendation applies to all releases, release types, and release tracks.
Supported Releases
Critical updates are provided for all supported releases. Non-critical updates might not be provided for older supported releases.
When a release reaches end-of-life, to receive support, customers must upgrade to the latest LTS release.

Release Tracks
Commvault provides stability and innovation release tracks to support diverse requirements. Select the release track that aligns with your priorities.
You can change release tracks once a year, during the June release window. If you change release tracks, you must fully comply with the operational requirements of the new release track.
