You can complete a guided setup for Alibaba cloud ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL.
To complete the guided setup, you need the following information:

The server name
-
The host name
-
The credentials that you use to access the server
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Guided setup.
The Welcome page appears.

In the Databases tile, click Configure.

On the Configure Database Server page, select Database running in the cloud (PaaS).

Select Alibaba Cloud, and then click Next.
-
On the Configure Alibaba Cloud page, select MySQL, and then click Next.
The Configure Alibaba Cloud - MySQL page appears.

On the Plan page, select a backup plan to use for the instance or add a new plan, and then click Next.
The Cloud Account page appears.

From the Cloud Account list, select an existing cloud account for the instance or add a new cloud account. To Add a new cloud account, do the following:

Beside the Cloud account list, click +.
The Add cloud account dialog box appears.

In the Name box, type the name for the account.

In the Access key box, enter the access key for authenticating and providing secure access to cloud storage services.

In the Secret key box, enter the secret key for authenticating cloud storage.

From the Access node list, select access nodes that have both the Virtual Server and Cloud Apps packages installed.

Click Save.

Click Next.
The Cloud database instance details page appears.

From the Instance name list, select an instance.

Under the Connection details section,

select an existing credential or add a new credential. To add a new credential, enter the following details:

Click the + icon beside the Credentials list.
The Add Credential dialog box appears.

From Account type list, select a database account.
-
From the Database credential type, select the type of database.

From the Credential Vault list, select a credential vault to store credentials for different types of accounts.

In the Credential name box, enter a name for the credential.

In the Username box, enter the user name to access the ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL application.

In the Password box, enter the password to access the ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL application.

The SSL certificate toggle key is unselected by default. By moving the toggle key to right, you can perform the following actions:

In the SSL CA file field, provide the SSL CA file path on the proxy computer.

In the SSL Cert file field, provide the SSL certificate file path on the proxy computer.

In the SSL Key file field, provide the SSL key file path on the proxy computer.

In the Description box, enter the details of the credential.
-
Click Save.

In the Endpoint box, type the name of the endpoint to connect to the database instance.

Click Next.
The Backup Content page appears which provides the information about the backup of the databases in the instance.

Click Next.
The Summary page appears.

Review the summary, and then click Finish.
