Configuring the IBM FlashSystem Storage Array on the Array Software

Before using the IntelliSnap feature in the Commvault software, configure environment for the array.

Procedure

1. On the proxy computers, map an exclusive and temporary logical unit number (LUN) to access the storage device.

2. Create a host for the client computer or for the proxy computer and then, do one of the following:

   • Add a host port (WWPN) for Fibre Channel.

   • Add the iSCSI host IQN.

3. If you are using firmware 8.3.X or later, do one of the following:

   • Turn the volume protection feature off.

   • Create a separate child pool for Commvault, turn the volume protection option off at the child pool level, and then, in the Commvault, specify the child pool in the snapshot configuration properties.
