Considerations for Immutable Snapshots on NetApp Primary Snapshot copy

Review the following Considerations and recommendations before enabling immutable snapshot on NetApp primary snapshot copy with tamperproof support.

• The clients, Remote MediaAgents, and Access nodes must be on Innovation Release (11.38.20) or later.

• You can only set days-based retention on the snapshot copies. Extended retention is not supported. Spool copy is also not supported.

• You must enable REST API on the array.

• Set snapshot-locking-enabled field to true on all the primary volumes. You can use the following command:

   
  volume modify -vserver SVM Name -volume volume name -snapshot-locking-enabled $[true]
