Creating a Storage Resource Pool

A storage resource pool is a logical collection of MediaAgents grouped by region. This configuration enables storage provisioning based on geographical regions.

Before You Begin

Before creating a storage resource pool, you must first create a server group that includes MediaAgents specific to the desired target region.

Procedure

1. In the navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.

   The Infrastructure page appears.

2. On the Infrastructure page, click the Resource Pools tile.

   The Resource Pools page opens.

3. Click Add > Storage.

   The Add Storage Resource Pool configuration page appears.

4. In the Name field, enter a unique name for the storage resource pool.

5. From the Region list, select the region associated with the MediaAgents.

6. From the MediaAgent Group list, select the server group that contains the MediaAgents for the selected region.

7. Click Save to create the storage resource pool.
