Creating a Tag for a Server Group

Applies to: Server groups, user groups, regions, and plans

You can create and apply tags to server groups and plans in the Cloud Console.

A tag is a pair of a key and an optional value. You can use tags to match specific server groups with specific plans, which makes backing up of data across multiple server groups easy.

For example, to automatically back up data for company servers according to backup plan ABC, create a server group called headquarter servers and add a rule to include all servers with tag name location and value headquarters, and then apply the tag location with a value of headquarters to the backup plan ABC.
