Data Views for the Client Details Report

The chart and tables in the Client Details report provide detailed information about client computers in the CommCell environment.

Client Count Trend

This chart displays the total number of clients, the number of clients added in the last year, and the number of clients removed in the last year.

Overview

This table displays information, such as software installed and status, for each client in the CommCell. This report is available at both the Worldwide and CommCell levels, but not all columns are available at the CommCell level.

Column

Description

CommCell ID

Unique identifier for the CommCell. This column is visible only at the Worldwide level.

CommCell Name

Name of the CommCell. This column is visible only at the Worldwide level. You can click on a CommCell Name to view the Client Details Report for that CommCell environment.

Client

Name of the client computer.

Client Type

Type of client, such as Server or VM.

Is MediaAgent

Indicates whether the client is used as a MediaAgent.

Client Group

Client group association, if applicable.

Operating System

Operating system installed on the client computer.

Version

Commvault software version installed on the client computer.

Additional Updates

Additional Commvault software updates installed on the client computer, if applicable, such as Feature Releases.

Installation Date

Date that the client was installed on the CommCell.

Deconfigured Date

Date that the client was deconfigured, if applicable.

Status

Status of the client computer in the CommCell.

  • Installed: Commvault software is installed and the client can communicate with the CommServe computer.

  • Deconfigured: The Commvault software license has been released, and no backup jobs can run. Data can still be restored.

  • Discovered: Active VM clients discovered by the virtual server.

IsActive

Indicates whether or not the client is active. A client is considered active if it can communicate with the CommServe computer.

Exceptions

This table displays client-related exceptions and the number of clients that apply.

Type of exception.

Count

Number of clients that have the exception. Click a number in this column to view a list of these clients and additional information.
