Deploying a Linux Access Node for VMware Cloud Director

You can deploy a Linux access node for VMware Cloud Director. The Linux access node can be used for replication of VMware Cloud Director VMs.

Considerations

• Linux access node support for VMware Cloud Director is enabled by default for the HyperScale 1.5 Appliance. For the HyperScale 1.5 Appliance, configuring an access node is not required.

Procedure

1. Download the Access Node and MediaAgent package from the Commvault Store.

   This package provides an OVA template that is pre-configured with the Virtual Server Agent, MediaAgent, and uses the Mono framework.

2. Deploy the OVA template and configure the Linux access node.

3. Perform a remote installation of all available Commvault maintenance releases for the installed service pack on the Linux access node.
