After you install the Linux CommServe Bare Metal software, root access is automatically disabled on the CommServe node and only the cvbackupadmin user can log on and access the node. If you need SSH connectivity to the server, you can enable root access manually.
Note
Some operations may require root access. In such situations, temporarily enable root access for the node while performing the operation, and then disable root access once the operation is completed. When enabled, the root user access is automatically disabled after 24 hours.
