Extend a SQL Clone

You can extend the time that the software retains a SQL clone.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Instances page appears.

2. On the Instant clones tab, select one or more clones that you want to extend, and then click Extend.

   The Extend clone expiration date dialog box appears.

3. Select the date and time that you want the clone to expire, and then click Set.

4. Click Save.

Results

When the new time is reached, the system automatically shuts down the clone database and frees up all resources.
