Getting Started with Amazon Web Services

To set up Amazon Web Services with snapshot capabilities, review system requirements, and then create an AWS client in the Commvault software.

Procedure

1. Verify that your environment meets the System Requirements.

2. Verify that you have all the user permissions for backups and restores using the AWS cloud storage. For more information, see Requirements and Usage for AWS IAM Policies and Permissions.

3. For SP18 or earlier versions, you must Configure the Additional Setting sAmazonArray before any snapshot operation.

4. Add Amazon Web Services Snapshot Storage.

5. Choose a Supported Agent to work in conjunction with the AWS snapshots.
