Modifying the Oracle RAC Database Instance Details

You can modify the details of an Oracle RAC database instance.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database overview page appears.

2. On the Instances tab, click the instance.

   The instance page appears.

3. In the General section, click Edit.

   The Edit Oracle RAC instance dialog box appears.

4. In the Database name box, type the name of the Oracle RAC database instance.

5. From the Plan list, select the backup plan to use for the instance.

6. To use catalog connect, move the Use catalog connect toggle to the right, and then from the Credential list select a saved credential.

7. Click Update to save the changes.

8. To update the Oracle connect string for all the servers in the RAC database instance:

   1. On the Configuration tab, in the row for the server under RAC database instances, click Edit.

      The Edit RAC instance dialog box appears.

   2. From the Connect string list, select a saved credential.

   3. Click Save.
