Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the Sybase Instance

To verify that the Sybase instance is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Overview page appears.

2. On the Instances tab, in the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Backup.

   The Backup options dialog box appears.

3. Click Submit.

Restore the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Overview page appears.

2. On the Instances tab, in the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Backup content page appears.

3. Select the check box for each database that you want to restore, and then click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

   Note

   By default, databases are restored to the current location (in place).

4. Click Submit.
