You can browse and restore one or more databases for Amazon RDS for MariaDB.
Prerequisites
Before initiating the out-of-place restores, create the destination instance and start the destination server.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database overview page appears.

On the Instances tab, click the instance.
The instance properties page appears.

Under Database groups, for the database group that you want to restore, click the action button
, and then click Restore.
The Backup content page appears.

Select the databases that you want to restore, and then click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.

Follow the steps for the type of restore operation you want to run:

In-place restore:
For an in-place restore operation, the destination server and the destination instance are the same as the source server and the source instance.

Select In place.

To select a MediaAgent to use for the recovery, from the Server name list, select a MediaAgent server.

Out-of-place, cross instance restore:

Select Out of place.
-
From the Restore type list, select Cross instance restore.

From the Destination client list, select the client.
-
From the Destination instance list, select the instance.

To select a MediaAgent to use for the recovery, from the Server name list, select a MediaAgent server.

Out-of-place, restore to disk:
-
Select Out of place.
-
From the Restore type list, select Restore to disk.

From the Destination client list, select the client.
-
In the Destination folder box, type the folder path.

To specify pre or post commands, under Pre or Post options, do the following:
-
In the Pre recovery command box, enter the path of the process to run before the restore.

In the Post recovery command box, enter the path of the process to run after the restore.

To run a post process for all restore operation attempts of a job phase, whether it is successful, interrupted, suspended, or when the job fails, select Run post restore process for all attempts.

To specify the user to run the pre and post commands, move the Run as User toggle button to the right and type the user name and password.

Click Submit.
