Restoring IBM Spectrum Protect Imported Data

After you back up the imported IBM Spectrum Protect data from the data access node, you can manage and restore the data from the Command Center.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Files.

2. Select the TSM_clientname. The imported VMs are listed with a prefix TSM_VM.

3. Navigate to Protocols > CIFS / NFS.

4. Click the Subclients tab. The imported IBM Spectrum Protect files are listed under TSM_files backupset.

5. To restore VMs, each VM client includes a default TSM_VM backupset and subclients for each year.

6. For VM restore, select the backupjob ID folder that contains all the relevant files for restoring the VM.

   You can now use the restored folder and recreate the VM on the ESXi server.
