Features and Enhancements

  • Identity context for BI Tools: BI tools will typically use a service account to access the data store, when doing so the identity of the logged in user is no longer available. By using the tool's "initial sql" feature, it is possible to maintain the user's identity context on Satori, see example for the tableau tool:

    select 'satori_user:[TableauServerUser], satori_token: token'
    The Tableau tool will replace [TableauServerUser] with the user identity, the access token must be obtained from the management console out of band.
