Setting Up SNMPV3 Alert Notifications

To send SNMP alert notifications, you must add the host name or IP address of the computer receiving the SNMP traps to the SNMP service.

Before You Begin

• Install SNMP trap receiver software on the computers that will receive the SNMP traps sent by the CommServe.

• The software supports only SNMPv3 protocol for a Linux CommServe computer.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Manage > System.

   The System page appears.

2. Click the SNMPV3 tile.

   The SNMP configuration page appears.

3. Click Add configuration.

   The Add configuration dialog box appears.

4. Enter the details for the trap destination computer.

5. Click Save.
