Considerations for Access Nodes

The access node for MongoDB Atlas can be configured as an on-premise server or on the Azure, AWS or Google Cloud service.

Commvault recommends deploying an access node with more than 4 cores CPU and 8 GB RAM.

Install the MongoDB agent and Cloud Apps packages on the access node. Only Windows access node is supported for MongoDB Atlas.

Ensure that you whitelist the access node IP address or public IP address range of the network which includes the access node, in the MongoDB Atlas portal. For more information, see IP Access List Entries.
