Configuring a Shared Network Cache Location for the ContentStore Mail Server (SMTP)

If you use a shared network location for the ContentStore Mailbox cache location, configure the Commvault ContentStore Mailbox Service to use the ContentStore Mailbox service account.

Before You Begin

• Make sure that the shared network path is available to the ContentStore Mailbox Server (SMTP).

• Grant the ContentStore Mail Server (SMTP) full access to the network share folder.

Procedure

1. On the ContentStore Mail Server (SMTP) access node, in Windows, click the Start button.

2. In the Search box, type services.msc, and then press Enter.

   The Services snap-in appears.

3. In the services list, right-click Commvault ContentStore Mailbox Service, and then click Properties.

   The Commvault ContentStore Mailbox Properties dialog box appears.

4. Click the Log On tab.

5. Select This account, and in the corresponding box, type the name of the ContentStore Mailbox service account.

6. In the Password box, type the account password.

7. In the Confirm password box, type the account password again.

8. Click OK.

9. In the services list, right-click Commvault ContentStore Mailbox Service, and then click Restart.
