Enabling Block-Level Backups for Exchange Databases

Applies to: Exchange 2010 or a more recent version

You can enable block-level backup on a default subclient or a user-defined subclient.

Before You Begin

Verify that you have enough available space for the index. For every 100 GB of data, you need 30 MB of available space for the index.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Solutions > Applications > Exchange.

   The Exchange page appears.

2. Click an Exchange database.

   The Exchange Database page appears.

3. In the Subclient section, click the subclient for which you want to enable block-level backup.

   The subclient page appears.

4. In the Settings section, click the Optimize for message level recovery slider.
