Job Restartability Overview

Job restartability is enabled for all job types, by default. You can configure the following behaviors globally in the Job Manager:

  • The maximum number of times the Job Manager tries to restart a job after a job phase fails

  • The amount of time the Job Manager waits before restarting a job that is in a pending state

  • The amount of time the Job Manager waits before retrying a job when a phase is unable to start

For some agents, you can specify the job retry options for specific jobs. The individual settings will override the global setting configured through the Control Panel.

Jobs can be manually resumed when they are in a waiting or suspended state, and the job status returns to Waiting, Pending, Queued, or Running depending on the availability of resources or the state of the operation windows and activity control settings.
