Job Results Directory Overview

The Job Results Directory stores the job results files that are created when a job is initiated. By default the Job Results Directory is created when the software is installed. For example, the directory may reside at \Software\iDataAgent\JobResults. You can change this location by specifying a new path. The specified path will have the Job Results directory created within it.

The size of the Job Results Directory can be customized, and job results for data protection and recovery operations can be pruned based on retention settings. The minimum free space can be configured with an event message generated if space gets too low.

The Job Results folder contains critical data, such as:

  • Metadata for all jobs in the CommCell environment.

  • Backup data for the CommServe database.

  • Copies of the log files generated after running the SendLogFiles utility.
