You can perform a silent repair of a Commvault installation on a client computer locally.
Notes

For Windows client computers, you can perform the repair operation even when you cannot reach the computer because of CVD service problems.

For UNIX client computers, the CVD service must be running in order to perform a repair.
Procedure

Run the appropriate repair command from installation media.

Windows:
Setup.exe /silent /reinstall /instance InstanceXXX -
UNIX:
./silent_install –reinstall <instance#>
