Running an Exchange Mailbox Cleanup Job

Typically, cleanup jobs are run according to the schedule defined in the server plan. This procedure describes the general steps for running a cleanup job on-demand.


  1. In the navigation pane, expand Solutions > Exchange Apps, and then click the Email Archiving App.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To clean up a mailboxes, click on the App, select Mailboxes from the mailboxes list, on the upper-right corner,click Run Jobs, and then click Clean up.

    • To clean up all mailboxes that belong to an AD group or database, click on the App and select the AD groups or databases from the Auto Discover Associations list, on the upper-right corner, click on Run Jobs, and then click Clean up.

The cleanup job starts running immediately.
