A server is a computer where you have installed one or more Commvault software packages.
You can perform the following operations on a server:

Add additional Commvault packages

Update the Commvault packages

Uninstall the Commvault packages

Release a Commvault license
You can add an additional server to reduce the load on existing servers, or when you need to replace an existing server.
